When you need to take a child on their first camping trip this would be a good addition to provide some comfort. These are not the thickest mattresses, but they are fairly compact and no additional equipment was needed to fill them up.I didn't use my foot to pump them up, but instead used my hands to squeeze the inflator sponge. Doing it this way I was still able to pump up the mattress in a few short minutes. When laying down these provide plenty of support for my 6' 200 pound frame. You are not going to confuse this with your memory foam bed at home, but it was better than laying inside a sleeping bag on the ground.I do not regret this purchase. It folds up into a small roll that fits right into a backpack. It inflates quickly by stepping on the bottom of the mat, so there is no pump needed. It also deflates quickly by opening the valve and rolling up the mat.My kids and I inflated it and tried laying down on it before our camping trip. My teens like it and I like the fact that you don't need another gadget to inflate it as it self inflating just by stepping on it. It's easy to deflate and transport and not bulky to bring with us to camping. I bought 3 for each of our kids ranging from 8 to 22!This inflatable mattress is pretty comfy for side sleepers or someone sleeping on their back. If you sleep on your belly you might find the pillow too thick causing some neck discomfort. Aside from that, it comes with an instruction manual, 3 repair patches should your mattress get punctured and a bag to carry everything. I haven't had any problem regarding the mattress deflating and inflating it takes around 1m 30 seconds. I'd give 6 stars if I could simply because I'm 6ft 2 and can lay on my back with my feet still on the mattress, now the quest to find a sleeping bag long enough begins...I just came back from a two week trip to the Yukon on a canoeing trip. I used my sleeping pad the entire trip and have to say it was great!! It was light, compact, easy to inflate and comfortable even when sleeping on a rockbed!! What I also liked was it was wider than most air pads which gave you more sleeping room without falling off. I would highly recommend this sleeping pad as I slept well the entire trip. It is reasonably priced and it did the job!!Originally I was happy with my purchase, so I purchased a 2nd one of the same pads because I want to link the 2 pads together (it was advertised as so). After receiving the 2nd pad I took out the 1st one from my emergency supply bag, and realize the buttons on the sides of the 2 pads does not align and therefore cannot be linked (I checked both sides!). I find it disappointing and I might ask for a refund. If the seller see this review, and able to resolve this issue, please let me know.The sleeping pad is much lighter than expected, but the quality is still great. The pad is inflated within a min or two. The common concern on sleeping bed is air leaking. I have tested by placing heavy weight for a few hours. The pad is still as firm as before. The air cushion insulates the cold ground and provides comfort. Extra size with 3+ inches wider give more room to lay down.My husband and were using cots but wanted something small to use as our camping gear is taking up the entire trunk. We decided to try these sleeping pads and wish he had made the change earlier. We had many concerns but found they were 100% wrong. They are think enough to allow a comfortable sleep even with small rocks and roots under the tent, they were strong enough to not be damaged when our Sheltie walks on them or cuddles in for sleeping. They inflate and deflate easily. No issues or concerns
