First, the bed frame arrives in two boxes, and one of them is 75lbs+ so you will need a second person to help move the boxes around and put it together!When the boxes arrived, they arrived separately and both looked like they had been walked on and had boot prints all over them. The ends were damaged and I was very worried that the bed frame would be unusable and need to be returned.When we opened it up, it was very well packaged and there was only a minor bend on one of the corner metal connectors that was easily straightened. Installation was very simple, but for the California king size you will want a second person to help maneuver things into place. There are lots of wood slats that fit into place quickly and keep the mattress well supported. We have a VERY heavy spring coil mattress and there’s no wobble or sagging at all.I would recommend getting rubber pads for the feet if you have wood floors. There are actually 8 legs on this frame, each long middle beam has two solid and large legs. All 8 legs have small plastic feet on the bottom but they didn’t seem to be enough protection so I bought rubber pads. That also keeps the frame from moving and sliding around.For what I paid, this is an AMAZING bed frame. I love the look, how solid it is, and the height for my mattress is perfect without a box spring. We’ve been sleeping on it for two months now and it’s perfect.
