So, I like to thrift, but I’m paranoid about bringing home any little creatures that might hitchhike, so we always encase our mattresses. Because I live in the humid South, the encasements that are fully waterproof with PVC all the way around aren’t ideal for us; they wind up trapping humidity in the encasement. (This was not a fun realization, lol). When we purchased our new bed, I was adamant about getting something with permeable protection, but that was super hard to find. Finally, I found this one, and it is worth every penny! It has a waterproof top, but permeable, breathable sides and bottom, allowing air flow to prevent my mattress from becoming a terrarium. It was easy to put on our 13-inch king mattress and it fit well. I think it might be harder for mattresses more than 15/16 inches tall. It seems to be high-quality, does what it is intended, and makes no annoying noises when you move around. I definitely recommend this one, especially if you live somewhere muggy!
