Pros:The picture looks like an ugly tan color but it is a nice vanilla color.The mattress is firm yet springy, but you cannot feel the springsThe mattress is flippableCons:The boxspring is 2 pieces not 1 like the picture, so they can slide around and not line up.There were dozens of loose strings on all the pieces; indicative of poor craftmanship.You cannot leave the plastic on the pieces; the covering was more like big bags.The mattress is fuller in the middle; if you like to sleep on the edge you get the feeling you're going to roll off the bed due to the downward slope.Although the mattress height is standard, the boxspring is very slim, so your bed height is lowered significantly. My bed is so low now that my pillows slide under the headboard.DELIVERY WAS A NIGHTMARE: I chose a 3 hour window at checkout. Two days later, I began receiving automated phone calls to schedule my delivery even though I had already scheduled my delivery. The prerecorded message kept giving me timeslot options that did not coincide with the original slot I had chosen, and would not let me transfer to a customer service representative. I got so frustrated I started hanging up on the automated calls. Eventually a real person called and scheduled a 4 hour timeslot. After I waited the entire slot and no one came, I called customer service; they told me they were calling the delivery men now and would have them call me immediately with an update. No one called. They arrived about 45 minutes after the timeslot expired. Most companies call before delivery, especially if you're at the end of the timeslot; and every company calls if they're not going to show up in the window they gave you. I was stuck at home for nearly five hours and could not even jump in the shower; I was very annoyed.Five Stars for Exceptional Delivery Person, "TYLER" He is Awesome!!!!!...Two Stars for Box SpringsZero Stars for Continental MattressWe purchased Continental Sleep Hollywood Collection, Fully Assembled Orthopedic Mattress and 8" Split Box Spring, Queen in April 2016. We preferred split box springs, have used them for years and decided to order a set for guest room. We trust Amazon purchases and decided to order the mattress and split box spring set after seeing five star ratings of positives reviews from seemingly satisfied customers. Mattress and box springs were delivered on time by an exceptional Delivery Person and arrived in card board boxes and wrapped in plastic, appearing in absolutely new condition.After being removed from boxes a day or two later, collection was set up in guest room. The mattress looks sturdy but feels spongy and springs creak, squeak or produce popping sounds with every move and this set has not even been slept on a dozen times. At least, mattress is not visibly sagging in the middle yet, but now when we have over night guest, we exchange the Continental collection for our own mattress set. We could never expect our guest to be subjected to such creepy mattress sounds or restless nights.We would love to hear from those same customers who gave this set five stars several months ago. How many stars would they give this set now that a few months have past? We are planning to replace this set, mattress first, as soon as it's financially possible.Please reconsider before purchasing a Continental Sleep Hollywood Collection Set. This purchase has been a nightmare and just too cumbersome to send back or exchange.The delivery was painless and exactly when they said it would be, it comes very well packaged and in a box, we had the bed frame up ready to go for this. The box spring arrived perfect and exactly as described, the mattress is thick and comfy. My only complaint is the sloppy stitching job! String everywhere and very uneven, after laying or down we found a small opening from where the stitching was missing, it looks rushed and messy. Other than that the mattress will work great for my young girls to share and I think it will hold up for years to come, cant complain for the price.At first I thought I had struck gold! The firmness was perfect and extremely comfortable. In less than a year the mattress got softer & softer. By 18 months it literally has permanent dents & body part impressions throughout!NOT recommended if you actually plan to sleep on it.Mattresses arrived last Saturday. The delivery team were well within the delivery time and very polite. They just bring them into the house and open one box for inspection, which is fine. My husband and I easily took them out of the boxes and placed them on the beds. Immediately, we noticed a chemical smell. We left them as is on the beds to "air out". And, the mattress is very slippery on top of the box spring. I had to purchase carpet grip to put between them. And, I purchased plastic covers for the mattresses. These are in a guest room so they'll be ok. Don't think I want to sleep on them as my primary bed.My 61 yr old brother came to visit. He still has a water bed and I was worried the bed would be too firm for him. He had no problems and slept very well. I've had 3 back surgeries and find myself sleeping in the guest room on this bed rather than my $1000 mattress that has gone soft and causes me to wake up in pain. I've slept very comfortably in this bed and wake up without the usual aches and pains. If you like a firm mattress this one is great.The box spring/mattress combination arrived in a timely manner. In a large box and they were also wrapped in heavy plastic. No damage. The bed is perfectly acceptable. Comfortable enough for use in my guest room. I am spoiled by my mattress so it is hard to compare an expensive one with this. But it is just fine as I intend to use it. I added a memory foam top as added comfort. No complaints at all.
