These worked great on our tile floors...a quiet glide even when the heaviest man at our dinner table scooted his chair back and forth. They also went in easily; my husband punched a pilot hole then gently hammered them in (he only got one slightly crooked, but it stayed in place during our two holiday meals). Our chairs screeched before, silent after.Excellent construction and are extremely sturdyAfter installing these, I decided to use felt instead. The couch and recliner kept moving since they were not on a rug.Buy these. I have a table and chairs that we bought in 2011 and the original glides wore out. I spent more on stick-on glides of all types and they just don’t work. Put these on and the chairs glide like new.Excellent for our hardwood floors and much better than the adhesive felt that DOES NOT WORK AND LEAVES ADHESIVE ON THE FLOOR. Would recommend for dining room table and chairs.So much better than the felt dots I had bef. Now the chairs & stools glide on the wood floor as well as the rugs!!Finally solved the problem of chairs scraping my wood floors. Since they are hammered into the chair legs, they don't come off after use and dog, cat hair doesn't stick to the adhesive since there is none.These glides did the trick for our six loveseats that are constantly being moved! Replaced cheaper ones that sort of clung to the carpet for some odd reason...
